I usually do ramen here but we went ahead and tried the sushi and it did not disappoint! Tried the salmon truffle w blue crab and the yellowtail jalapeño, I for sure would recommend both! The house rolls are also a good choice if you're looking for something simple! Came in around like 9 on Tuesday and got seated right away, our server was super nice and made sure everything was to satisfaction! really good spot to check out if you're looking for a late night bite :)

This chain Japanese restaurant has been a favorite of mine with how extensive the menu is and also the variety of food you can choose from. I've had their ramen and sushi in the past. The sushi stands out more for me. I got two sushi's since they had. Buy one get another one for 50% off so it was nice to have that option. The service was fast and the ambiance was nice to see the decor representing the inside of an izakaya.

Came for late dinner a little after 9 since they are open until 11. Service is prompt and attentive, checking on our table multiple times through the meal, refilling waters and notified us of the last call. Wish the ramen had more broth, but it's delicious and the quality matches other Kopan Ramen locations I've been too. I love the Kuro Mayu Ramen here as it has black garlic oil, adding depth to the broth. The ChaSiu has a delicious porky flavor and the egg was cooked perfectly with a melty egg yolk. What's important is that they don't over cook the noodles and keeps a springy texture when you take bites. Solid choice for delicious ramen, wouldn't mind coming back to this location. Convenient lot for parking in the back.

My teens ordered the bentos and ate everything .. loved the presentation . Enjoyed the buy 1 sake get 1 for 99 cents . I ordered t 2 baked rolls , pretty tasty . My husband ordered the rib-eye hot stone , he felt like it needed a little spice , added from the table . The restaurant was a little cool but comfortable . My only suggestion would be to remove the curtains towards the restroom and wash them , gross needing to touch them after washing hands . Johnathan was very attentive , despite working the whole dining room alone, bussing tables and bringing out the food .

I came pretty late in the night, so it wasn't too busy. I was seated quite fast and the food came reasonably quickly. I was very pleased with the aesthetics of the restaurant. It's very pretty inside. I thought the service was good. They checked on me a couple of times, so that was good. I just thought it lacked a bit of energy, other than that, I have no complaints on the service. I ordered the ginza sushi combo, and I thought the sushi selection by the chef was excellent. I enjoyed everything on the dish. It was really good. I thought the wasabi was appropriately spicy. And since I asked for extra, I received an extra scoop of wasabi. That was much appreciated. Overall, my experience was good. I would definitely be returning here. This has become my favorite Kopan and Ramen location. I really enjoyed the sushi and the chef's selection.

My friends and I were in the area, looking for a late night ramen spot and this place came across our radar. We arrived here around 9:45 pm last night. Located in Downtown Fullerton, this place wasn't that busy despite downtown fullerton being kind of busy. Parking wasn't an issue, there was a lot behind the building so it was fine. The place was nice and clean. Nothing was bad about the ambiance. If you look in, you might think that there isn't much seating, but they actually share the patio with CHOMP. So seating was all good. Service was ok. Don't get me wrong, everyone was very polite and very patient with us. The staff did great at answering any questions we had in regards to the menu and initially were doing great constantly checking up on us. But when we were waiting for the check thats where it changed. It's like the staff just disappeared and we were waiting for a while to just pay for our meal. Food was pretty good. My boyfriend had the Katsu Cheese Curry and you could definitely tell that it was fresh. The cheese pull was really good and you can see the steam coming out. Nothing wrong with the curry at all. I had the Mini Yuzu Donburi Bowl and it was the perfect size but I don't think it matched the price ($19). Something about it was just lacking. I was disappointed but I wasn't extremely satisfied. It hit for a late night bite but I don't see myself actively wanting to come back (I'm also not from here lol)

Stopped by for a family lunch on Sunday with a craving for ramen! This place was SO cute!! The imagery along with the wooden interior with details of Japan was beyond adorable and transformative in taking you to a different place. Our server was great, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and kind! I believe the owner stopped by our table to to ask how everything was, and he was so sweet! SUSHI ROLL: 5/5 (I forgot the name of this one) We weren't planning on ordering any sushi, but this roll caught our eye. This place DEFINITELY has the best sushi I've had in a while. The fish is so fresh and the roll was so delectable. All the flavors were so beautifully balanced, and beyond anything I've had before. Next time I come back, I'm definitely ordering sushi! TONKOTSU RAMEN: 5/5 This ramen is by far the best in terms of flavor, salt, and heaviness. Other places I've tried have left me feeling icky after, but it was quite the opposite for this one. The toppings on this ramen are customizable which is great, and even though there's an additional charge for each, it's reasonably priced. KURO MAYU RAMEN: 5/5 The black garlic oil may seem daunting, but it adds such a nice flavor to the ramen. The pork here wasn't fatty at all, it was quite lean in my opinion, and many places really don't have that, but I loved it. The amount of noodles they give here too is literally insane!! Definitely a new go to spot for my ramen cravings. SPICY GARLIC EDEMAME: 5/5 This was a nice starter, and it's definitely spicy. I love how flavorful and intense the sauce was on this. Would reccomend!! Overall, this place is a hidden gem for good sushi and good ramen. I'm excited to come back to try more of their sushi options. Check it out if you're looking for both!
